About Focal Point Surveying
Originally established in 1987 as Gene Collins Engineering and purchased by Dan Martinez in 1990 who changed the name to Focal Point Surveying/Engineering,Inc. Focal Point introduced Lake County to CAD (Computer Automated Drafting) and continues to service Lake County.
In 2000 Dan downsized the business to focus on Land surveying services only and changed the business name to its current name Focal Point Surveying.

Dan began his surveying career in 1975 when he graduated from Long Beach City College and traveled to Fresno after learning about a new surveying program the first one west of the Mississippi.
